The next year is about to bring a couple of important novelties. As you probably know, there is a new diesel engine to come, which will bring better efficiency and towing capability. Of course, we count on a few more updates as well. Some of them will refer to the 2020 Toyota Tundra interior.
We are pretty sure that the overall layout will remain largely the same, since a complete redesign is expected in the next couple of years. On the other side, we have no doubt that the next year will bring novelties in terms of more standard equipment. The base trim level organization should remain the same, but each version should come with a couple of novelties. Also, it won’t be a surprise if we see a couple of new color options in the offer.
2020 Toyota Tundra Interior Design
The overall 2020 Toyota Tundra interior layout definitely won’t change too much. It will continue with a familiar cabin look, which features pretty good overall quality, considering the age. Most materials feature amazing quality, though there is a couple of areas that feature surprisingly low level of quality for the class. Also, the cabin features a lot of lines that clearly show the model’s actual age. All in all, the cabin is built pretty well and will last for decades, though younger competitors look more attractive.
In terms of seating, the 2020 Toyota Tundra will continue with two familiar cab designs. Since a couple of years ago, this truck isn’t available in a Single Cab layout anymore. You can choose either Double Cab or CrewMax models. In both cases, you can count on plenty of legroom. Of course, the CrewMax is more spacious, but both models are among class leaders when it comes to space and comfort. Base models feature front bench, so capacity goes up to six. In higher trims, you get two massive and supportive seats with plenty of comfort, but seating capacity for five.
2020 Toyota Tundra Interior Features
In terms of standard equipment, we could see a couple of interesting changes for the next year. However, we have no doubt that the 2020 Toyota Tundra interior will continue with a familiar trim level organization. There are five trim levels in the offer and each one could get a couple of novelties. Still, the essentials will remain unchanged.
The base SR models will continue with interior features like tilt-only steering wheel, Bluetooth, a 6.1-inch touchscreen interface, and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player. Although not necessary interior features, numerous safety features are standard in this trim as well. Some of the highlights are adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation with automatic braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beams etc.
The SR5 is a bit of an upgrade. You can count on upgrades like 7-inch touchscreen, HD and satellite radio, navigation etc.
Those who want to get a great balance between affordable price and a long list of standard feature could opt for the Limited Trim. It includes everything from above and also adds things like automatic dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, additional speakers, power-adjustable front seats etc.
The Platinum and 1794 Edition are essentially the same in terms of standard equipment. Some of the highlights are a sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, driver-seat memory functions, premium 12-speaker audio system etc.
2020 Toyota Tundra Interior Colors
One of the great things about Tundra interior is a variety of colors in the offer. Also, it won’t be a surprise if we see a couple of novelties for the next year. In any case, the 2020 Toyota Tundra interior colors will be numerous. Of course, the choice largely depends on the trim level you choose and the type of upholstery. For example, the base SR model currently comes only with Graphite Vinyl upholstery. On the other side, the SR5 trim comes with three colors in the offer. Those would be Graphite Fabric, Black Fabric, and Sand Beige Fabric.
The Limited trim comes with leather upholstery. Therefore, you can opt for either Sand Beige Leather, Black Leather, or Graphite Leather. Platinum and 1794 Edition are equipped with premium leather upholstery. You have a choice between Premium Black and Premium Brown Leather.
As we already mentioned, the 2020 Toyota Tundra interior could come with a couple of new colors in the offer. However, the exact details are still unknown. Besides changes on the inside, the 2020 Toyota Tundra will also come with a new diesel engine in the offer. Other than that, things should remain the same.
The current generation of this full-size truck should carry on for another couple of years. The next generation will probably hit the market as the 2022 year model, though we are still waiting for the official confirmation.
